What is KnoxvilleRoof.com?

An information site and local directory for homeowners dealing with storm damage to their roofs in Knoxville and East Tennessee, Tennessee. It is published by HERE City, the company behind HERE Knoxville and the HERE City network of local news sites. It is not a roofing contractor, insurance company, agent, adjuster or law firm. We do not inspect roofs, sell roofs or sell insurance.

Where does the weather data come from?

Where does the insurance and legal information come from?

From the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, the TN Board for Licensing Contractors, the state code (Tenn. Code Ann. § 62-6-603), the National Weather Service and NOAA, and established consumer sources such as the Insurance Information Institute, IBHS, the FTC and the CFPB. Each guide lists its sources and the date it was last reviewed (October 29, 2026). Policies vary, so every guide tells you to check your own policy and ask your insurer. Laws can change; we re-check when they do.

How are directory listings compiled?

How does the site make money?

Roofing businesses can pay for an enhanced listing, a labeled sponsor banner or a labeled sponsored article. Payment does not change our guides, the weather data or the order of unclaimed listings. Homeowners never pay. With a homeowner's consent, a storm-help request may be passed to roofers in the directory.
